The heating, ventilation, and airconditioning (HVAC) system is one of the most critical systems affecting theability of pharmaceutical facility to meet its key objectives. HVAC systemswhich are properly designed, built, operated, and maintained can help ensurethe quality of product manufactured in that facility, improve reliability, andreduce both first cost and ongoing operating costs of the facility. The designof HVAC systems for the pharmaceutical industry requires special considerationsbeyond those for most other industries, particularly in regards to cleanroomapplications.
